Here’s an explanation of how I set up this blog and how to navigate within it. Besides the “Next Post” and “Previous Post” buttons, every entry has a tag like this example: “Blog Goals” [tag], so if you ever want to find something in particular you can search by topic. I’ll publish up to four days a week, on Sunday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday, with each day devoted to a different topic. I’ve included the topics and their tags below for reference. I will RARELY if ever post more than once in a single day.
Sunday posts offer a beginning of the month “Monthly Schedule” [tag] or checklist of things to do in the upcoming month. I hope to offer information specific to gardening in the climate of Southeast Texas. The remainder of the month I’ll post under the “In Bed” [tag] describing events in individual raised beds, From construction, through gardening theory and practices, modifications and upgrades, planting and maintenance, to the final harvest and even cleanup. You’ll find information about Soil Building, Composting, Methods, Techniques, Practices and the Gardening Personalities who espouse them. I’ll report on ongoing projects and experiments including successes and failures. Occasionally I’ll post covering remodeling work on Overleaf House “House Goals” [tag].
Tuesday offers an art, design and product “review” called “Raves and Faves” [tag]. I’ll introduce an artist, art style or movement; a designer, design style or movement; or an architect, architectural style or movement I find interesting, intriguing or appealing. I might also focus on just an individual work. In the future I plan to review books, products, shows, restaurants, etc… anything I would like to bring to the public’s attention.
Wednesday posts with the “Fresh Served” [tag], feature a holiday or seasonally appropriate (hopefully!!) recipe for food, beverages, or desserts. You might also find articles about food preservation and meal planning or even Home Economics topics here.
Friday posts are a grab-bag. Under the “Fresh Pic’d” [tag] you’ll find my original photographic images. Posts with the “CCDesigns” [tag] present my own original artwork, furniture and accessory designs, and interior and architectural designs. The “CCWrites” [tag] posts will feature examples of original written work including historical and personal accounts, memories and observations of amusing events, and even thoughts on cultural, physical, personal, spiritual, and psychological discovery and health. You might even get some off-the-wall philosophical wanderings as well.
The blog is set up to allow for reader comments. I’ll review all comments before posting on the blog. Please see the guidelines at the bottom of the Blog web page prior to commenting.
